miller is a band consisting of Mew–Ukrid Paoin (vocals), Aof–Thanawut Wiboonkit (drums), Tle–Thanapon Prathueng (keyboards), Karn–Thanakrit Asawaruekha (guitar), and Tan–Tatchapol Thitiapichai (guitar). The band originated from Mew’s dream of forming a group, inviting Karn and Tan—friends and longtime bandmates since high school—to reunite and pursue their shared musical aspirations once again. Their original band name during those school years was My Grain.

Driven by their determination to chase this dream, they began searching for a producer who could help guide them toward becoming professional artists. This led them to collaborate with Aof (drums), who brought extensive experience both behind the scenes in music production and as a former artist himself. Aof then introduced Tle (keyboards), a childhood friend with a strong background as a backing musician for many well-known artists, adding new colors and depth to the band.

Together, the five members made a conscious decision to create music based on instinct—without trying to imitate anyone else. Their sound reflects a genuine fusion of Thai rock and 2000s American rock influences, shaped by their shared experiences and deep-rooted love for rock music.

In their early days as My Grain, Aof planned for the band to produce a 5–6 track EP and develop a fully realized live performance complete with a strong key visual identity, aiming to capture the attention of music labels. However, one crucial change remained: renaming the band. This marked the beginning of their journey toward their current name, miller.

The name “miller” was chosen because the members wanted something that felt more like a surname than a typical band name. Inspired by songwriter Fiat—who drew influence from the character Joel Miller in The Last of Us (a series adapted from a popular video game)—the group agreed that “miller” carried a distinctly American feel while being simple and memorable. From that point on, they embraced the name miller as their identity.

Looking ahead, the band aims to create music that serves as a bridge between themselves as artists and their listeners. They hope their songs can evoke genuine emotions and allow people to connect with the sincerity embedded in both the lyrics and sound. More than anything, they aspire to be a comforting presence—offering companionship during moments of loneliness. Their music is intended to heal, ground, and represent the feelings of many, as they continue their journey toward becoming one of the country’s leading artists.
